Zhu Hong

Zhu Hong is an architect turned full-time artist whose deep knowledge of the built environment informs his oil paintings of Singapore’s urban landscape. Drawing inspiration from Singapore street scenes as his primary muse, he reinterprets familiar architecture through expressive brushstrokes and dynamic, playful perspectives that gently distort structural elements. ​

Working with creative, vibrant colours in an upbeat, joyful palette, Zhu Hong captures the liveliness and rhythmic energy of everyday life in the city. His works evoke a sense of movement and warmth, transforming streetscapes into animated visual experiences. Zhu Hong’s paintings have been exhibited at the Beijing Art Museum and the Shanghai Urban Planning Exhibition Centre.​
