Jolie Low Yuh Shoei

Low Yuh Shoei graduated with distinction from the Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts in 1981, where she studied under five prominent local art masters: Lim Yew Kuan, Wee Beng Chong, Lai Foong Mei, See Hiang To, and Tan Tee Chie. In 1982, she furthered her art education at the Sorbonne’s Cité Universitaire in Paris, immersing herself in Western art.

Her first solo exhibition, Collections, was held at the World Trade Centre in 1990, followed by Design and Movement at the National Art Gallery in 1993. In 2017, she presented Aspirations at The Arts House, featuring 30 works spanning from 1981 onwards. She has also participated in numerous group exhibitions locally and abroad.

Low’s  art  is  driven  by  imagination,  dreams,  and  emotion,  evolving  in technique and style over the years to convey depth and passion. She currently serves as Treasurer of the Society of Chinese Artists and Assistant Treasurer of Club NAFA, while dedicating her time to fostering a love for art in others.
