Tay Shuh Fung

A 1993 NAFA graduate, Tay Shuh Fung works across Chinese ink painting, oil painting, and seal carving — weaving these traditions together naturally. She finds inspiration in everyday moments and nature, using gentle colours, balanced compositions, and plenty of breathing room.

Works such as Pursuit, Leaving White Space, and Drizzle reflect her love of simplicity and quiet beauty. Her art has earned recognition including the Distinction Prize at the National Teochew Chinese Ink Painting Competition, yet she remains authentic to her own vision — creating thoughtful, sincere pieces rooted in tradition with a fresh, modern feel.
