Karyn Lee

A graduate of the Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts, Karyn guides students with autism through the expressive language of painting. Parallel to her teaching practice, she uncovers profound artistic potential within everyday and overlooked materials.

Her creative journey in upcycling began with a simple act: repurposing well-loved family jeans, salvaging leftover denim and original hems destined for disposal. These tender remnants were reborn as handcrafted bags and pouches, igniting a deeper artistic inquiry that weaves together painting and stitchwork.
