Yong Mee Ping, a graduate of the Malaysian Institute of Art, boasts nearly 30 years of experience as a Graphic Designer in the advertising and publishing design industry. However, faced with life‘s challenges, she embarked on a soul-searching journey that rekindled her passion for painting. Mee Ping picked up her paintbrush once more, using her artistry to convey the world’s beauty and sorrow.
Currently serving as an Instructor of JPHAA Pastel Nagomi Art, she works with soft pastel, oil pastel, and charcoal. Her recent charcoal pieces, "Light and Strength Within" (2022) and "Present Moment" (2023), found their place in exhibitions at NAFA Glass Gallery and Restaurant Fiz.
For Mee Ping, painting is a soul-nourishing endeavour, a means of exploring, understanding, and caring for life. Through her art, she seeks to bring harmony and healing to both her and her viewers, touching hearts and fostering a sense of unity and serenity.
